For info on Montesinos, see intro to Gonzalez' Nuestra Fé (in English). He was a Dominican on Hispaniola (now Haiti and Dominican Republic). On Dec 21, 1511, he preached a fiery sermon to the Spanish colonists railing against their injustice toward the Native Peoples. You can read the intro free on Amazon "See What's Inside." Here's a link to it: http://www.amazon.com/Nuestra-Fe-American-History-Sourcebook/dp/1426774265/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462387431&sr=8-1&keywords=nuestra+fe
